  Marin Independent Journal (San Rafael, CA) Warren Cutler Erskine August 2nd, 1918-September 4th, 2005 Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a brief illness at the age of 87. He is survived by his brother Don, wife Irene, daughter Christine, son Ron, daughter-in-law Renee, and his grandchildren, Drew and Vanessa. Warren was born in San Francisco and spent his entire life in the Bay Area. He received a Bachelor's degree in architecture at the University of California in 1940 and a Master's degree there a year later. After serving as a sergeant in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II, he worked as an architect in San Francisco for 41 years. He and his wife Irene have resided in Mill Valley since 1949. Warren was a loving husband and father who worked tirelessly to provide every opportunity and comfort for his family. He will be missed.
