McCALL — Rosary for Della Jean (Dee) Ireland, 49, of McCall, who died Friday morning, Oct. 22, 1982, in a Cascade hospital of an extended illness, will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at the Heikkila Funeral Chapel in McCall.
She was born Feb. 18, 1933, in Notus, Idaho, and at the age of four she moved with her family to Donnelly. She attended Donnelly-McCall schools until the ninth grade, when she moved to Council, graduating from the Council High School.
She attended the Northwest Nazarene College and she married Guy H. Ireland, Jr., Oct. 4, 1952, in Nampa, and they have since lived in the McCall area.
She was Senior Citizens Coordinator in McCall for eight years until ill health forced her to retire. She was a member of the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and the Altar Society, McCall; a charter member and president of the McCall B.F.W. Auxiliary Post 8966; a member of the Cascade American Legion Auxiliary, Post 66; and the Bremerton, Wash. D.A.V., Chapter 5.
Surviving are her husband, Guy of McCall; a stepson, John W. Ireland of Bremerton, Wash.; a son, Gary Ireland of McCall; a daughter, Kathryn Duman of Craigmont; grandchildren, Stacie, Dena, and Shaun Duman, all of Craigmont; her father, Earl Jones of McCall; a sister, Adafern Kessler of Boise; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1968 and her son, Douglas Guy Ireland, in 1977.
