  The Peoria Journal Star (IL) November 12, 1998 METAMORA -- Norman Wayne Barrow, 86, of Snyder Village died there at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998. Born July 12, 1912, in Carlinville to Thomas L. and Jennie M. Thompson Barrow, he married Ruth M. Greenwalt on July 8, 1934, in Nilwood. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Christie of Metamora, Robert of Cordova, Tenn., and Carl of Florissant, Mo.; one daughter, Norma Barrow of Jacksonville, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarence of Metamora; and two sisters, Hazel Heilman of Metamora and Lola Mae Thacker of Mount Holly, N.J. He worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 42 years, retiring as a supervisor. He also was a farmer in the Metamora area.
