David L. Webber, 37, of Auburn Street died Saturday at a local hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Portland, a son of Lawrence D. and Edith L. West Webber.
Mr. Webber worked for NAPA Auto Parts, Westbrook, in the distribution center as a truck driver.
He was an avid skier who learned at age 4, and also enjoyed music. He and his family befriended many neighborhood children.
Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Holly J. Webber; two daughter, Laura and Sara Webber; and his father, all of Portland; his mother of South Portland; and a brother, Peter of Portland.
