DOROTHY G. WENTWORTH, 88, of Sheldon Street, an operator for the former New England Telephone Co. for two years before she retired, died Friday at the Elmhurst Extended Care Facility, Providence. She was the wife of the late Charles W. Wentworth.
Born in Elk, Wash., a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Johanna (Tucker) Gilman, she moved to Cranston 48 years ago.
Mrs. Wentworth was a member of First Universalist Church, Providence. She was a member of the former Pawtuxet Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She leaves two daughters, Jane W. Lussier of North Kingstown and Barbara W. Platt of Tiverton; two sons, Paul A. Wentworth and Alan W. Wentworth, both of Cranston; and nine grandchildren. She was a sister of the late Arehure G. and George Gilman.
