  The La Porte County Herald-Argus (IN) June 26, 2004 Mrs. Barbara Lee Nelson, 74, of 102 Cherry Dr., Walkerton, died Friday, June 25, 2004, at 5:45 a.m. at her home. She was born Oct. 3, 1929, in Medaryville, Ind., to Lloyd and Reva (Jones) Brick. Mrs. Nelson had retired as a wax quality assurance inspector after 17½ years at Howmet (Austenal). She enjoyed crafts, sewing, quilting, reading and being with family. On April 3, 1948, she married Lindy J. Nelson, who died Nov. 14, 1994. Surviving are one daughter, Diana (Bill) Foster of LaPorte; three sons, John (Carol) of Plymouth, Ind., Mike (Marilyn) of Culver, Ind., and Steve Sr. (Janice) of Bremen, Ind.; 13 grandchildren, Christina Sterling, Carrie Bechtel, Jenna Meister, Jamie and Lisa Zahrn, Bobbi Reinhold, Angie Fox, Steve Jr., Brad and Timothy Nelson, and Jason, Matt and Ryan Foster; 19 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Claudine Taylor of Fish Lake, Carol Fraizer and Linda Filas, both of Monticello, Ind.; and Kay Wireman of Wheatfield, Ind.; and one brother, Lloyd "Butch" Brick of Medaryville. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Faye Sutherlin, and one brother, Jack Brick.
