  Journal & Courier June 20, 2012 Clarence Lynn Roller, 64, of Lafayette, passed away at 2:10 a.m. on June 15, 2012, at St. Elizabeth East Hospital. He was born to the late John W. and Doris I. (French) Roller in Lafayette on April 19, 1948. He was a 1966 graduate of Battleground High School and received a certificate in Auto Mechanics from Ivy Tech. He served honorably in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era aboard the USS Yorktown. He was on board during the recovery of Apollo 8 and during the filming of Tora, Tora, Tora. He worked at several filling stations in the area and also at Purdue University in Building Services. He was an avid toy train collector and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by four brothers, John E. Roller, of West Lafayette, James "Jim" (Wife: Patricia) Roller, of West Lafayette, Thomas "Tom" (Wife: Marjorie) Roller, of Lafayette and his twin brother, Charles Roller, of Hampton, Tenn; and one sister, Alice May Hill, of Lafayette.
