Mary Louise Day, 85, of Lakeland, FL, and formerly of Keene, NH, died March 29, 2016 at her home in Lakeland.
She was born in Morrisville, NY on July 17, 1930, the daughter of C. Sterling and Leah (Parsons) Tayntor.
Mrs. Day was a high school math teacher, teaching at various high schools in New York State, retiring from teaching at the Troy (NY) High School.
Following her husband, The Reverend Doctor Roger U. Day's in his pastoral responsibilities, Mrs. Day was a member of the United Methodist Church of Queensbury, NY, the United Methodist Church of Troy, NY, Trinity United Methodist Church of Schenectady, NY and the Grace United Methodist Church in Keene.
She is survived by a son, Jereme Day and his wife, Liza, of Wiesbaden, Germany; a daughter, Cathleen Traphagen of Hillsborough, NJ; two grandsons, Joshua Sterling Day and Jonathon Darryl Day, both of Mesa, AZ; a brother, Philip Tayntor of Lakeland; a sister, Charlotte Battisti, of Leverett, MA.
She was predeceased by her husband, The Reverend Doctor Roger U. Day, in 2011.
