  Batavia Daily News February 24, 1970 Corfu – Mrs. Mabel Maas, 71, of 19 West Main St., died at 8:30 p.m. Monday (Feb. 23, 1970) at Genesee Memorial Hospital in Batavia where she had been a patient for two weeks. Death followed a lengthy illness. Mrs. Maas was born at Athol Springs, May 23, 1898, a daughter of Robert and Mary Stroh. A resident of Corfu for 40 years, she was a member of St. Francis of Assissi Church and its Altar and Rosary society. Survivors include her husband Clement J.; a daughter Mrs. Wayne (Annette) Ellithorpe of Placerville, Calif.; a brother, Clarence of Rochester; two nieces and two nephews.
