  Delphi Carroll County Comet December 14, 1988 Robert Simmons, 78, died at 12:45 p.m. Dec. 3, 1988, in the Brethren's Home, Flora. Born in Carroll County April 9, 1910, he was the son of Richard A. and Mary Witt Simmons. In 1944, he was married to Madeline Welson, who died in 1965. A retired mechanic, Simmons was a member of Pleasant Lake, Mich., Masonic Lodge 185. He was past high priest of chapter IOO, Royal Arch Masons; past master of Flora Masonic Lodge; and past patron of Flora Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Dimitt, Kokomo, and Loretta Scholler, Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Louella Roberson, Flora; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
