  Batavia Daily News June 29, 1989 CORFU - Lawrence W. Beideck, 68, of Leisurewood and Haines City, Fla., a former Corfu resident and a World War II Navy veteran, died Wednesday (June 28, 1989) at Genesee Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Beideck was born June 10, 1921. in Buffalo, a son of the late Warren and Clara Colby Beideck. He was a retired employee of Conrail in Buffalo. He was a member of the Corfu IOOF Lodge No. 634, a member and elder of the Corfu United Presbyterian Church, and the United Transportation Union. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Haskell Beideck; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Carol Beideck of Akron; a daughter. Nancy E. Cummings of Akron; a sister. Mrs. Elizabeth Seelau of Corfu; two brothers. Donald Beideck of PortagevilIe and James Beideck of Batavia; four grandchildren, Mrs. Michelle Reynolds of Corfu, Joshua' Beideck of Akron. Chad and Brad Cummings of Akron ; and several nephews.
