  Sandusky Register (OH) September 14, 2010 Edith (Knupke) Sargeant, 92, formerly of Monroeville, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at her residence in Theodore, Ala. She was born March 2, 1918, in Huron, and was a retired homemaker. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Mobile, Ala. She is survived by two daughters, Alice (Joseph) Avirett of Mobile and Jane (Terry) Ryan of Tyler, Texas; two sons, John (Peggy) Sargeant of Illinois and Paul Sargeant of Sandusky; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Wayne (Ruth) Knupke of Huron; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Glenn Sargeant in 1981; parents; and two brothers, Gene and Elmer Knupke.
