  Sandusky Register (OH) February 14, 2014 James "Jamie" John Tackett, of Greenville, S.C., passed away on Feb. 14, 2014, surrounded by loving family, at McCalls Hospice in Simpsonville, S.C. Born Dec. 3, 1964, in Bellevue, Jamie lived in Ohio before moving to South Carolina. He worked as a financial analyst after graduating with a BS degree from Capital University, Columbus, and an MBA degree from Wingate University, Wingate, N.C. He was working on his Ph.D, from Clemson University. He had an infectious sense of humor, keen intellect and was passionate about teaching. He enjoyed many sports including scuba diving, hiking, golf, and spending time at the shooting range. But he most enjoyed the time he spent on the wrestling teams at Willard High School and also as a collegiate wrestler. Jamie is survived by former wife, Tamara Tackett; and daughters, Nichole, Lauren and Madison Tackett, of Greenville, S.C.; mother, Nancy Jane Tackett; and brothers, Kevin Tackett and David (Alicia) Tackett, of Columbus; Dennis Tackett, of Bellevue, and Patrick (Betty) Tackett, Half Moon Bay, Calif. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ellis Tackett, of Willard.
