Stevenson Eugene ("Gene") Tyer, aged 52, of 7212 F Street, owner of the state Employment Security Division and the state Capitol Cafeterias, died Friday at a Little Rock hospital. He was a member of the Winfield Methodist Church, the Knights of Pythias, the Pulaski Heights Lions Club, the Young Business Men's Association and the Civitan Club and was a board member of the Arkansas Restaurant Association.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elva Edris Webster Tyer; a son, Gordon E. Tyer of Hope; his father, C. A. Tyer of Little Rock; two brothers, W. E. Tyer and R. W. Tyer, both of Little Rock; two sisters, Mrs. Inez Boyd of Evansville, Ind., and Mrs. Helen Lockhart of Mission, Kan., and two grandchildren.
