PLYMOUTH - Phyllis M. Partridge, 81, of Plymouth, died Saturday, Oct. 28, at Life Care Center in Plymouth.
Born Nov. 25, 1924, in Needham, she was the daughter of the late Glendon V. and Ruth (Kimball) Partridge. She was raised in Needham and graduated from Needham High School, Class of 1943. She graduated from the Household Nursing Association School of Assistant Nurses in 1948, and from Shepherd Guild Nursing School in Newton, obtaining an LPN degree.
Ms. Partridge worked for 23 years at a veterans hospital and went on to do private care nursing for 15 years.
She lived in Carver for 20 years before moving to Sunrise Assisted Living in Plymouth for a year, then to Life Care Center in Plymouth.
She loved all animals, especially her dog, Happy. As a young woman, she enjoyed flounder fishing on the South Shore.
She is survived by her brother, Robert G. Partridge of Naples, Fla.; and one niece. She was the sister of the late Virginia A. Swenson.
