  York Weekly September 30, 2005 OGUNQUIT Donald Sylvester Paine, 93, of Seaview Avenue, died the night of Sept. 22, 2005, at York Hospital. Born in North Anson, Maine Aug. 17, 1912, first son of Perley and Ivy (Jackson) Paine, he was educated in North Anson, graduating from his alma mater of Anson Academy. In 1936, he married Doris Clifford, daughter of Rev. Percy Clifford and Laida Porter. In 1983, he married Dorothy E. (Robinson) James. He came to Ogunquit soon after his first marriage and worked at Russell P. Hutchins garage. During World War II, he was a machinist at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, owned the ?Happy Cooking? Propane Gas Company in Wells, and later a successful Laundromat in Somersworth, N.H. A member of Clan Forbes, life member of Clan Donald, he for many years faithfully served as deacon in the Ogunquit Baptist Church. Masonic affiliations are: Ocean Lodge 142, Wells, Past Master, Masonic District 19, Past District Deputy Grand Master, Grand Lodge of Maine District Deputies Association, Murray Chapter Royal Arch Masons 33, Past High Priest, St. Amand Commandery 22, Past Commander, Grand Commandery of Maine, Past Grand Standard Bearer.
