  Worcester Telegram & Gazette (MA) September 6, 1990 GARDNER - Lauren E. "Lonny" Kauppi, 52, of 15 Ida Hill Road died yesterday in Leominster Hospital after an illness. He leaves his wife, Mariette D. (Fontaine) Kauppi; two daughters, Darlene D. Morse and Karrie A. Kauppi,both of Gardner; a brother, Donald Kauppi of Gardner; a sister, Donna Clancy of Pennsylvania; his mother, Elizabeth (Butler) Kauppi Goodrich of Gardner; and four grandchildren. He was born in Gardner, son of the late Donald M. Kauppi, and lived here all his life. He graduated from Gardner High School in 1956. Mr. Kauppi was a superintendent at Standard Chair Co. of Gardner for 28 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gardner and the Gardner Lodge of Elks. He was an avid sportsman, and enjoyed baseball and bowling. He was a member of the former Elks Horseshoes League.
