  Tri-Town Transcript (Topsfield, MA) November 30, 2012 TOPSFIELD - Mr. Tyler C. Garfield 33, of Topsfield, died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 21st, 2012 at Beverly Hospital. Born in Salem, he was the beloved son of Jackson and Geraldine (Colwell) Garfield of Topsfield. He was raised and educated in Topsfield and was a graduate of Masconomet Regional High School, class of 1998. He continued his education at Fitchburg State College and graduated from North Bennett Street School in Boston's North End concentrating on Antique Carpentry Restoration. A finish and fine carpenter by trade, Tyler was associated with various construction companies on the North Shore and most recently was the proprietor of Cedar Chest Woodworking of Topsfield. He was known for his detailed craftsmanship and fine carpentry work. A loving son, brother and nephew, Tyler was an artist at heart and appreciated all mediums and styles of art work. He was a dedicated craftsman who found great pride in restoring and salvaging antiques and hunting for antique treasures. He enjoyed reading, writing andjewelry making. During the winter Tyler spent time skiing and snowboarding in Colorado and Vermont and during the summer he spent time at his favorite place on earth, Cranes Beach. He will be deeply missed by his loving family. Tyler is survived by his devoted parents, Jackson and Geraldine (Colwell) Garfield of Topsfield, his brother, Todd Garfield of Topsfield, his aunts and uncles, Gary Colwell and Joanne Zeppetelli of Topsfield, Melissa and Carl Stewart of Kean, N.H. and Martha Garfield of Hamilton and many cousins and dear friends. He was the nephew of the late Conrad Garfield.
