  Batavia Daily News June 10, 1918 PASSMORE – At Indian Falls on May 27, 1918, to Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Passmore, a daughter named Edith Mabel. _____ The Daily News (Batavia, NY) March 25, 2006 NORTH CHILI -- Mrs. Edythe M. Poerschke, 87, of West Wood Commons, formerly of Indian Falls, a former elections inspector, died Thursday (March 23, 2006) at Monroe Community Hospital. She was born in the town of Alabama May 27, 1918, a daughter of the late Elmer and Mabel Haskell Passmore. Mrs. Poerschke was a longtime member of the Indian Falls United Methodist Church, joining in August 1933. She was a member of the Friendship Class since 1940, a member of the United Methodist Women for more than 50 years and a member of RSVP since 1989. She began as an elections inspector in 1960 and was an active volunteer at the former Genesee Memorial Hospital (UMMC) Snack Shop, donating more than 5,000 hours through 1999. She was wife of the late Edward Poerschke and sister of the late Geraldine Hake. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy (Gary) Hamilton of Batavia/Florida and Janice Hines of Rochester; a son, Roger (Marilyn) Poerschke of Arkansas; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Malcolm Hake; three sisters-in-law, Delores (Henry) Brunea, Leona Glidden and Ida Sumeriski; and several nieces and nephews.
