Mary Cecelia "Cec" Andis passed away in Port Angeles, Washington, on November 16, 2003, after a long illness.
She was born in Newport, Rhode Island, on November 29, 1942, to Richard William Gareis and Edith Mary Moran.
Cec married John Lyle Andis in Port Angeles on December 3, 1960. She attended Rae-Jean School of Beauty and was a beautician at Laurel House of Beauty.
Cec loved her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, birds and her dog, Rosebud. Among her favorite things to do was bowling, beachcombing and traveling. She was a member of Dream Machines Car Club and WIBC.
The family would like to give special thanks to the family and friends who supported her through her illness and to the staff at short stay (OMC) who gave her special care and friendship.
Cec is survived by her husband, John Lyle Andis of Port Angeles; son John Michael Andis of Buffalo, Wyoming; daughters Rita Clouse of Nashville, Tennessee, and Jennifer Hanson of Port Angeles; brothers Richard Gareis of Port Orchard, Washington, and Michael and Michael Gareis of Saltese, Montana, sisters Rose Marie Thayer and Debbie VanWinkle, both of Port Angeles; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammi Rose Andis, and her parents.
