DECATUR - Leota "Lee" Funk Hackney, 72, of Decatur died Friday, March 5, 2004, at her home.
She was born July 25, 1931, in Franklin, the daughter of Chester R. and Mabel Dunham Funk. She married Melvin "Sarge" Hackney in 1968 in Boody. A son, Douglas A. Hackney, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hackney retired from the Illinois Department of Employment Security in Decatur after 22 years. She was a member of Bethel Bible Church.
Survivors: husband, Melvin; 10 children, Rollin E. Decker of Aurora, Colo., Allen K. (wife, Becky) Bates of Alachua, Fla., Terri M. (husband, Rich) Brown of Atlanta, Cindy K. (husband, Sgt. Major Eric) Kilianski of Texarkana, Texas, Robert E. Hackney of Florida, and Janet L. (husband, Dan) Spruell, Carle F. (wife, Tanya) Smith, Laura E. (husband, Tom) Neeley, Michael D. and Kerry S. Hackney, all of Decatur; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
