  The Hutchinson News (KS) February 11, 2014 Lawrence D. Yoder, 86, died Feb. 8, 2014, at Good Samaritan Village, Hutchinson. He was born Nov. 30, 1927, in Hutchinson, the son of Dan and Bertha Nissley Yoder. A resident of Hutchinson most of his life, he was a carpenter for the civil service for 33-years. He was a member of the New Covenant Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson. He had served in the U.S. Army. On Aug. 6, 1948, he married Kathleen Delano in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: a son, Kent (Jewel) Yoder, Big Rock, Tenn.; a daughter, Sharon (Bill) Beske, Rio Rancho, N.M.; a sister, Lela, Newton; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Allen, Daniel, Harvey, Wilber and Fred Yoder and a sister, Edith Classen.
