Vera Earline Hendricks, 83, went to be with her Lord on Monday, July 1, 2013, in Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 14, 1929, in Hutchinson, to Earl and Ruby Snell Conley.
They moved several times but lived in Abbyville while her dad pastored the Baptist church. She then moved to Raymond and graduated from Raymond High School in 1947.
On June 18, 1947, she married Lawrence Roy (Andy) Hendricks in Raymond. They lived several years in Brush, Colo., Little Falls, Minn., El Dorado, Kan., and Raymond. She resided in Sterling at the time of her death. She taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of Raymond Baptist Church and the Raymond Ladies Card Club.
Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; son, Paul Ray; sister, Linda Washmon; and brother, Willis Conley.
Survivors include: daughter, Rebecca (Duane) Wood of Chase; sons, Roy (Jan) of Sterling, John (Deidra) of Newton; sister, Evelyn Rank of Hutchinson; brother, David Conley of Columbus, Mont.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Robyn and Gregg Ogdahl, Jenna and Samantha of St. Joseph, Mo., Tim and Shannon Hendricks, Michael and Seth, Matt Hendricks, Caleb and Hannah, all of Sterling, Nicole and Dennis Foster, Derek and Lake of Meade, Kan., April and Troy Miller, T.J. and unborn baby girl of Dallas, Texas, Nick and Amber Wood, Domanic and Kearra of Chase, Nathan and Jennifer Wood and Kamden of Ellinwood, Kan., Lauren Wood of Manhattan, Kan., Katy and Michael Cater of Center, S.C., and Haly Hendricks of Newton.
