BATAVIA - Kenneth L. Haskell, 82, of Batavia-Elba Townline Road, a lifetime resident of the area, died Monday (June 26, 1995) at his home, after a brief illness.
Mr. Haskell was a member of the Batavia Exempt Firemen, Elba Grange and Stafford Odd Fellows Lodge.
He is survived by two, nephews, Robert Haskell of Baldwinsville, and William Haskell of Groton; and a niece, Edwina Thomas of Pawtucket, R.I. He was a brother of the late Burton, Elmer, and Viona Haskell .

Kenneth Lavern Haskell was the son of George and Augusta (Woodstock) Haskell. He was born at 2:30 A.M. Friday, Sept, 6, 1912, in the Town of Stafford, Genesee County, New York. The family later moved to the Batavia-Elba Townline Road, Town of Elba, and still later across the road to the Town of Batavia, both in Genesee County. Kenneth Haskell graduated from Batavia High School in Batavia, Genesee County, in 1933.
He was a farmer all of his adult live. His father deeded him the family farm on the Batavia-Elba Townline Road, Town of Batavia, on June 26,1958. After a fire damaged the home, Kenneth Haskell sold the farm to David, Judith and Daniel Underhill on April 4, 1990. He lived his remaining years in one of the barns on the farm.
He never married. He was a member of the Batavia Exempt Firemen, the Elba Grange and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Stafford. He attended the United Methodist Church at West Barre, Orleans County, New York.
He died on June 26, 1995, at the barn in which he lived. Kenneth Haskell is buried in the Reed Cemetery, Town of Oakfield, Genesee County. He was survived by two nephews, Robert Haskell of Baldwinsville, Onondaga County, New York, and William Haskell of Groton, Tompkins County, New York; a niece, Mrs. Edwina Thomas of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; two grand-nieces; and a grand nephew.
