Tracy O. Bates, 91, of Wichita Falls, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012.
Tracy was born on October 28, 1920 in Ryan, Oklahoma to the late Roy and Eva Bates. He served our country in the United States Navy during WWII. He graduated from Oklahoma A&M with a BS Degree in Agriculture, and later, worked as an Electrician until retiring. He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Wichita Falls. On November 26, 1999, he married Alma Patton. Tracy enjoyed dancing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Bates of Wichita Falls; his children, Ned Franklin Bates and wife Rachel of Lake Kickapoo, Carl Lee Bates of Ben Wheeler, and Patricia Majors and husband Joe of Big Sandy; his sister, Rowena Anderson of Wichita Falls; extended family, Randy Goodman and friend Cheri', and Sherri Williams and husband Len; fourteen grandchildren, Traci Jo Poston, Bethany Sue Horschler, Michael Jason Majors, Jason Bates, April Michele Kalbow, Rodney Bates, Amber Bates Morillon, Katelyn Bates, Shay and Kyle Schill, Landry and Bethany Williams, and Lindsay and Taylor Goodman; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
