MARLBOROUGH -- Mae A. (Haskell) Hughes, 87, a resident of Marlborough, formerly of Framingham, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wayland. She was the wife of Charles E. Hughes Sr., who died in 2001. Born in Nashua, N.H., she was the daughter of the late Leslie F. and May (Baker) Haskell.
Mrs. Hughes was a graduate of Nashua High School. She was past president of Pinefield Garden Club and past treasurer of the Boston Horticultural Society. She had lived in Naples, Fla., from 1991 to 2001.
She leaves her children, Charles E. Hughes Jr. of Framingham and Sandra Watson and her husband, Robert J., of Westborough; five grandchildren, Angela Griffin and her husband, Peter, of Framingham, Shelly Hughes of Westborough, Julie Ann Bath and her husband, Dr. Jeffrey, of Cicero, N.Y., Robet Watson and his wife, Bethany, of Dover, and Todd Watson and his wife, Jennifer, of Newington, Conn.; seven great-grandchildren, Farrah Griffin, Madison Crawford, Sydney Griffin, and Jeffrey, Mitchell and Karleigh Bath, and Stone Watson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Frank, William, Leslie, Evelyn, Phyllis and Rachael.
