VICTORIA - Barby Benold Keel, 65, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014. She was born in Seguin on July 6, 1949 to the late H. B. and Thelmarie Frerking Benold. She graduated from Wharton County Junior College with an Associates Degree in business. She married the love of her life, Roy Keel on October 12, 1969.
Barby enjoyed worshiping and donating her time to the First United Methodist Church of Victoria, where she had been a member for 18 years. She also volunteered at Twice Blessed. Though she enjoyed her time at church, her favorite time spent was with family and friends.
Barby is survived by her daughters, Karen (Bobby) Andrews of Cameron, and Terri (Mitchell) Jank of Meyersville; son, Wesley Keel of Meyersville; sisters, Pam Gilbreath of Apex, N.C. and Shirley Simpson of Cuero; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Roy W. Keel.
