  Grand Island (Neb.) Daily Independent Gladys G. Partridge, 80, of Wood River died Saturday evening in a Grand Island hospital after a two-month illness. Mrs. Partridge was born Feb. 7, 1898, in Juniata to Russell and Jennie Finley Wood. She was educated in Juniata and Kenesaw schools. She taught school for 10 years. On Aug. 11, 1927, she married Theodore Partridge in Smithfield. The couple lived in Minden for a few years before moving to Wood River in 1932, where they farmed. Mr. Partridge died in 1976. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Wood River. Survivors include a son, Larry of Wood River, and one grandson. She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and a half-brother.
