  State Journal-Register (Springfield, IL) August 16, 1986 Bertha B. Sexton, 72, of Springfield died at 8:20 a.m. Friday at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 10, 1914 in Virginia, Ill., the daughter of Melvin and Dessie Fishael Henderson. Two brothers Melvin and George Henderson, preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Ethel Stephens and Linda Reid, both of Springfield; one son, Richard Sexton of Bailey, Colo.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mildred Homer, Dorothy McCoy, Irene Houston and Helen Elmore, all of Springfield; two brothers, Don and Floyd Henderson, both of Springfield.
