Employed 35 years by Barber-Colman Co., reyiring in 1998. Veteran of World War II serving in the Navy. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon L. (Dale) Nelson of Rockford and Lynnette S. (John Conley) Benjamin of Loves Park; three sons, Robert G. Fishel of Beloit, Wis., Stephen R. (Tina) Fishel of South Beloit, Ill., and Rick E. (Charlotte) Fishel of Loves Park; eight grandchildren, Doris Rick and Carrie Fishel, Aaron and Trevon Nelson, Steven Fishel and Tia LeAnne and Derrick Walls; sister, Mary Jane Walker of Hemmet, Calif.; numerouse nieces and nephews.
