LITTEL. Justus
Jock'' A. Littel, 83, of Fayston, VT, died Monday (July 1, 1996) at the Bayview Healthcare Center, Waterford, CT. Born in Barre, VT, July 16, 1912, he was the son of Alvarado James Littel and Orpha Holt Littel.
He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Elenore Holmes Littel. They were married in Waterbury, VT in 1938, and moved to Glastonbury, CT, where they lived for many years.
Following retirement, they returned to Fayston, VT, wintering at Traveler's Rest in Da de City, FL.
Jock'' was a 1931 graduate of Spaulding High School, Barre, VT, and attended Green Mountain Junior College. He worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for over 30 years, starting as a tabulating accountant and retiring as a manager in data pr ocessing. He was active in Boy Scouts, as a member of the South Glastonbury Congregational Church, and on the Glastonbury Zoning Board of Appeals, and as a tax assessor in Fayston, VT. He will be remembered for his kind ways; his sense of humor; and his love of fishing, skiing, and travel.
He is survived by a son and his wife, John and Patricia Littel of Guilford, CT; three daughters, Jane and her husband, Louis
Skip'' House of Dover-Foxcroft, ME, Elizabeth Littel Beebe of East Hampton, CT, and Mary Littel and her husband, Ric Curcio of Old Mystic, CT; seven grandchildren, John Littel, Anne Littel, Amy Littel Tiernan, Carrie Beebe, Gayle Beebe, Abbey House; and a sister, Erlene Littel Moore of East Peacham, VT.
