PETERSBURG – Genevieve "Jennie" Stevens, 93, of Petersburg died at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Menard Convalescent Center.
She was born Sept. 21, 1914, in Auburn, to Claud and Daisy Plunkett Hodgen. She married Lee Holmes, and later married Lloyd Stevens; both husbands preceded her in death.
She is survived by three nieces, Arden (Jesse) Raines of Tavares, Fla., Jennie L. Whisnant of Springfield and Nancy S. Stueck of St. Charles; and a cousin, Patricia Irwin of Pleasant Plains.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands and a sister.
"Jennie" was a homemaker in her later years in her own home and also was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Pleasant Plains.
