  Cass County Star Gazette John Bryon Fishel, 41, of Beardstown died Monday, June 6, at his home. He was born July 9, 1969 in Peoria, the son of LeRoy and Judith Rogers Fishel. Surviving is his mother Judith Fishel(companion Tim Harris) of Beardstown; his daughter Madeline of Jacksonville; two brothers Shawn Fishel(companion Jessica Shores) of Springfield and Ryan Fishel of Topeka, KS; four nephews Dylan, Connor, Chase, and Logan; two neices Sarah and Kaitlyn; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father. John graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1987. He was a baptized member of the RLDS Church in Beardstown and was formerly employed with Bartlow Brothers in Rushville and then Excel Corporation and Cargill Meat Solutions in Beardstown. John enjoyed hunting but his passion was for baseball with his favorite team being the Pittsburgh Pirates. He formerly coached Little League, Pony League, and several All-Star teams in Beardstown for many years.
