Mr. James Edward Haskell, of Camp Hill, passed away at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital on November 17, 2023. He was 85 years old. He was born on August 22, 1938, in Anson, Kansas, and was one of two children to Joseph and Ora Haskell.
Jim, as he was affectionately known, graduated from North High School, in Wichita, Kansas, in 1956. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1959. After his military service, Jim worked as an aircraft mechanic for Cessna in Wichita, Kansas. In 1972 Jim moved the family to Plainfield, Illinois, to take a job at Navajo Freight as a Teamster Driver, before ultimately moving and settling down in the Harrisburg area in 1979.
He was an avid boater, and loved to travel the country with his wife, Jackie, in their fifth-wheel trailer. He also loved any sport involving a ball and always rooted for his favorite teams, the New York Yankees, the Boston Celtics, and the Green Bay Packers.
Jim leaves behind his loving wife, Jacqualine "Jackie" Haskell of Harrisburg; his sons, Michael, of Mechanicsburg, and Phillip, of Portland, Maine, his daughters, Kathy Delgrande of Harrisburg, Leslie Haskell of Derby, Kansas, and Lori Whiteman of Omaha, Nebraska, as well as his grandchildren, Rebecca Delgrande & Leon Wen, Carter, Austin, and Ava Haskell.
He is also survived by his brothers, Philip Haskell of Council Grove, Kansas, Vern (Darlene) Hudnall of Lubbock, Texas, and sister, Fran (Mack) Shaw, also of Lubbock.
