  Journal and Courier Suzanne Simpson, Lafayette, passed July 14, 2023, with her family at her side. Born February 24, 1934 in Anderson, IN, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Hazel Lindsey. On June 12, 1955 she was married to Dale Simpson, who survives. Suzanne taught school for 32 years, the last 23 in the Lafayette School Corp. retiring in 1999. She was a member of Christ United Methodist in Lafayette, Bible Study Fellowship, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Indiana Retired Teachers and AOPi. In addition to her husband, Dale, of 68 years, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Harold Alan and Vicki Simpson of Carmel; daughter and son-in-law, Janell and Greg Hoenert of Germantown Hills, IL; six grandchildren, Joshua Simpson, Lindsey (Michael) Pedigo, Nicholas, Nathan, Nolan and Kristen Hoenert; a sister, Helen Matchett of Kokomo IN; and three great grandchildren, Rowan, Gemma, and Livia Pedigo.
