  Bangor Daily News (ME) February 19, 2013 BLUE HILL - Jerold "Jerry" Grindle, 77, died Feb. 18, 2013 at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 8, 1936, in Blue Hill, a son of Ernest and Rena (Gross) Grindle. Jerry attended school in Blue Hill and graduated from George Stevens Academy. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a linguistics specialist. He received his GE apprenticeship following the service and worked for GE in Massachusetts for more than 40 years as a tool and die maker. He enjoyed target shooting, wood and metal working and landscaping with his Kabota. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bonnie; children, Dana Grindle, Linda Horan and Sandra Peck; grandchildren, Amity Grindle, Nolan Grindle, Jared Horan, Andrew Peck and Abigail Peck. He was predeceased by a brother, Basil; sisters, Phyllis, Georgene and Florence.
