  The Tribune October 25, 1994 John A. Atherton of Spokane, formerly of San Luis Obispo, died Wednesday, Oct. 198, 1994, in Spokane. Mr. Atherton was a chemical dependencey counselor at Franch Hospital for several years. A resident of Spokane, Wash., for the past 3 years, he was a member of the Unity Church of Truth in Spokane, Wash., and belonged to the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Louise G. Atherton of Spokane, Wash.; a son Richard A. Atherton and his wife, Anna, of Orange; a daughter, Penny Barone and her husband, Chris, of Spokane; four grandchildren, John A. Atherton IV, Aaron R. Atherton, Krista Barone and Rickie Barone; and numerous nieces and nephews, He was preceded in death by a son, John A.
