  Morning Sentinel July 26, 2014 VASSALBORO - Mark Douglass Haskell, 63, died early Thursday morning at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in China on Sept. 2, 1950, the son of Guy and Harriet Haskell. He was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Erskine Academy. He was a Vietnam veteran having served with the U.S. Navy. He was known in his neighborhood as a handyman who could repair anything and was willing to help when needed. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Haskell, of Vassalboro; two stepsons: David Bumford, of Augusta, and Jason Haskell, of Winslow; a stepdaughter, Naomi Lucier, of Alberta, Ala.; and two sisters: Ann Haskell Parks, of Harpswell, and Linda Wenzel, of China; 10 grandchildren: Jared Barter, of Vassalboro, Maryah Ripley, of Winslow, Charles Ripley III, of Windsor, Ricky Williams and Kayla Williams, both of Alberta, Tyler and Breanna Haskell, of Winslow, Natasha Lamoreau, of Winslow, Gavinn Maske and Ean Maske, of Winslow; three great-grandchildren: Harlen Fortin, of Winslow, Ella-Rae Ripley and Jay-Lyn Ripley, of Windsor.
