  The Grand Rapids Press (MI) July 5, 2011 GARDNER - Marian Ruth Gardner, age 79, of Wyoming, our precious mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend passed from this life into one that is evermore glorious with her Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 29, 2011. As she was embraced by the presence of the Lord, those that went before her including her loving husband, Gordon Louis; her daughter, Lori Elgersma; her son, Gordon Gardner; and her son-in-law, Larry Bishop all joined in worship at His feet. She memorized Proverbs 3. The third verse expresses who she was -- "Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart." We are very thankful for the example of our Godly mother. Left behind to miss her are her children, Christine Bishop, Kathy Watkins, Rick and Ritha Gardner, Gary and Sandra Gardner; Harvey Elgersma; a special family member, Brenda Long; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
