  Hartford Courant April 6, 2007 Donald Calvin Foss, 87, of North Port, FL., died Tuesday, (April 3, 2007) at the Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte, FL. Born on February 25, 1920 in Woodland, ME to the late Albert and Rebecca Foss. Mr. Foss moved from East Hartford, seven years ago, where he retired after 35 years of service as a machinist for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Donald loved to do crosswords, paint, golf, fish, ride his bicycle, woodworking and carving. He is survived by his four children; Sharon Roy of North Port, FL., Catherine Dattilio of Manchester, Richard Foss of East Hartford, and Donald Foss of Hartford, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his wife Marion in 1992.
