SOMERSWORTH— Edith J. Tibbetts, 64, of 11 Park View Terrace died Saturday, July 23, 2005, at her home.
Born in Somersworth Oct. 5, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Edward G. and Hattie B. (Jenness) Short.
She was an office worker in various shoe shops including, Somersworth Wood Heel, Shoe Doctor and Algore Shoe. She was a lifelong resident and enjoyed crafts of leatherwork, crocheting, sewing and needlepoint. She particularly enjoyed her cats, Bruno and Bubba.
Family members include her son, Dale O. Tibbetts and his wife, Karen, of New Egypt, N.J.; a sister, Bertha Short of Somersworth; a granddaughter, Victoria E. Tibbetts of New Egypt; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Vance K. Tibbetts, in 1995, a son, Vance K. Tibbetts Jr., by sisters, Alice Short and Nellie Dumont, and a brother, Edward Short.
