Beverley J. Haskell, 84, of Jamestown, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. She was born Jan. 5, 1935, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Hugh B. and June McCullough Carr.
Beverley was a 1953 graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School. Prior to retirement, she was store manager at Anderson Cleaners in Lakewood and Fluvanna. She was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club Auxiliary and a past member of Post 556 American Legion Auxiliary in Frewsburg. Beverley loved the Lord and attended the Church on the Rock.
She was the greatest mother, not only to her children, but to everyone that passed through her front door. Whether it was her famous pancakes, homemade apple pie or a five course meal, there was always room at her table, and in her heart for everyone. She will be greatly missed, and forever loved.
Surviving are three sons: Larry W. (Caryl) Haskell of St. Maries, Idaho, Timothy L. (Roxanne) Haskell and Christopher L. (Victoria) Haskell, both of Jamestown; a daughter, Susan (Herbert) Rowley of Frewsburg; 12 grandchildren: Mark Haskell of St. Maries, Idaho, Erin Lemieux of Post Falls, Idaho, Melissa Borosky of Angola, N.Y., Amanda Bender of Kiantone, Adam Haskell of Jamestown, Joshua Rowley of Stevenson Ranch, Calif., Matthew Rowley of El Paso, Texas, Jessica Rowley of Frewsburg, John Haskell, Julia Faulk, Jaclyn Ferraro and Justine Jock, all of Jamestown; 17 great- grandchildren; a brother, Roy Carr of Cederville, Ohio; two sisters: Carol Nims of Xenia, Ohio, and Janet Scally of Spencerport, N.Y.; and her special friend, Robert Apotosh.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, DeWayne "Wayne" Haskell, whom she married May 16, 1953, and who died Feb. 3, 2003; and an infant son, Mark A. Haskell on Oct. 8, 1963.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas M. Kibbe, lead pastor of Church on the Rock will officiate.
Burial will be in the Busti Cemetery.
