Born Nov. 2, 1948, in Lewiston, he was the son of Perley and Edythe (Plummer) Leighton. He enjoyed hunting and for many years was employed by Jasper Wyman & Son until he was disbled four years ago. He issurvived by his wife, Lauren (Moon) Leighton of Cherryfield; two sons, Robert Leighton of Cherryfield and Matthew Leighton, who is in basic training with the Army at Ft. Benning, Ga.; his mother Edythe Leighton of Cherryfield; a brother, Colburn Leighton and his wife, Caroline, of Auburn; several nephews and cousins.
