  The Seattle Times Richard L. V. CAMPBELL Born February 11, 1946 and died September 17, 2005 at his Federal Way home after a brief battle with cancer. Dick is lovingly remembered by his devoted partner, Holly Sturgeon; brothers Randy, Earl and Kevin Campbell and their families; and countless friends and colleagues. Born in Arkansas, raised in Missouri and Illinois, Dick joined the USMC (1964-1968) and served in Vietnam. Throughout his life, Dick held fast to the Marine instilled values of honor, courage and commitment. After working in both manufacturing and broadcasting, Dick spent 30 years as an independent information technology consultant, earning both the respect of his colleagues and numerous awards for his achievements. Dick was passionate about his career, Platoon 145, the Yankees, and his beloved horses. He will be remembered for his intelligence, his sharp sense of humor and his rare but valued smile.
