  Find-a-Grave CHERRYFIELD — Alonzo C. Willey Sr., 83, passed away at home on April 15, 2014, from cancer. He and his twin brother, Lawrence, were born on Aug. 27, 1930, in Milbridge to Lawrence and Persis (Morrison) Willey. Alonzo graduated from Cherryfield Academy and spent a combined 20-year career in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. After retirement from the military, he worked as a plumber in civil service. He was a member of the American Legion, Narraguagus Post No. 8, Cherryfield, and a member of Osceola Grange in Harrington. He is survived by his sister, Joan Tucker and husband Lionel; his brother, James Willey and wife, Mary; his sister, Jeanne Willey; his daughter, Ronda Rhodes and husband, Richard; son, Alonzo Willey Jr. and wife, Debbie; son, Wayne Willey and wife, Dawnelle; and stepdaughter, Inez Day; grandchildren, Kendra, Brooke, Richard Jr., Jenny, Glenn Jr., Jordyn and Ryan; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
