  The Athens Messenger (OH) November 13, 2013 WELLSTON - Harold E. Morse, 84, Wellston, formerly of Albany, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at his residence. Born June 5, 1929, in Zaleski, he was the son of the late Edmond H. and Clarice Jewell Morse. Harold was a Navy Veteran and had worked at Ohio University carpenter shop. He was a member of Albany VFW Post 9893, Albany Masonic Lodge 723 F&AM and American Legion Post 371 of Wellston. He is survived by a son, Dale Morse, a daughter and son-inlaw, Gale and Delmar Jones, all of Albany; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; stepsons Jerry Johnson of Athens and Steven Johnson of Columbus; and friend Naomi Wyatt of Wellston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy L. "Dottie" Morse; a son Harold "Punkin" Morse Jr., and brother Dale Morse killed in the Korean Conflict.
