  Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier (IA) June 29, 2009 OELWEIN - Glenda Strand, 56, of Oelwein, died Saturday, June 27, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, of cancer. She was born Sept. 30, 1952, in Oelwein, daughter of Mardell Frazer Loux. She married Dale B. Strand on Sept. 26, 1970, at First Baptist Church, Oelwein. Mrs. Strand graduated from Oelwein High School in 1970. She provided child care services out of her home to area families. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Oelwein. Survived by: her husband; a son, Keith (Angi) of Maynard; a daughter, Kristi (Jeremy) Meyer of Tama; five grandchildren; and a sister, Becky (Bernard) Saathoff.
