  Hannibal Courier-Post (MO) December 24, 2005 LA BELLE - Nelda Faylene Murphy, 70, of La Belle, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at Country Aire Retirement Estates in Lewistown. Mrs. Murphy was born Feb. 15, 1935, in Clark County to Elza and Gracie Herbeth Speer. She married Richard D. Murphy Sr. on June 26, 1953, in Wyaconda. He survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Carol Perkins and husband, John, of Hannibal; three sisters, Betty Bourgeois of Wyaconda, Verna McCullen of Maywood and Edna Speer of Moberly; and her sister-in-law, Mary Morris of Keokuk, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Richard D. Murphy Jr.; five brothers; and three sisters.
