  The Topeka Capital-Journal (KS) November 23, 2007 LEAVENWORTH- Cynthia Ellen Bixby, 53, of Leavenworth, died Monday, November 19, 2007 at her home in Leavenworth. She was born on August 17, 1954 in Topeka, KS to Robert M. and Carol (Rankin) Bixby. Cindy was a graduate of St. Mary College, Leavenworth. She was director of Project Stay at the time of her retirement. She is survived by her companion John Holtgrefe, of the home; a brother, Dennis Bixby (Denise) of Tonganoxie; a sister, Brenda Kelly (Richard) of Topeka; a niece, Paula Kelly Frey (Darrin); a nephew, Scott Kelly; and a great niece, Alyssa Frey. She also leaves behind her cherished dogs; Lucy, Nicky, and Roscoe. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Amanda Bixby.
