  The San Diego Union-Tribune April 8, 2001 Robert L. Pierce, 79, of Ocotillo died Monday. He was born in Villisca, Iowa, and retired from the Naval Electronic System Engineering Center in San Diego. Mr. Pierce lived in San Diego for 33 years. Survivors include his wife, Irma; daughters, Irma Nystrom of Lemon Grove, Nancy Murphy of Alpine, Sandy Cradic of Juneau, Alaska, and Donna Wilson of Lemon Grove; and six grandchildren.
